This Year’s Calendar Contenders

I have made up a gallery of photographs that we are thinking of using for this year’s calendar for our customers, and thought that it would be a good idea to get feedback from the members of this blog. Remember that I need to pick 12 from this gallery, so please let me know which you think that I should include and those which you think I should not include. All constructive comments would be welcome. It would also be useful to know your thoughts as which photos should go with which month. Continue reading

Week 10 Puzzler - Part 2

Location Puzzler No. 10

I am pleased to see that our weekly location puzzler is starting to take off now that we have a few more members on here regularly. I also find it quite amazing that it has now become an international event, so much so, that I have started our own Olympic style medal table on the sidebar of our home page – (as I pointed out earlier, Canada came first last week, with a correct entry within 20 minutes of the post going up, hence the ‘Gold’). I have started making a point of going out at the weekends with my camera in readiness for the PomPrint 2013 calendar as last year all the photos were taken in the September week that was our Indian Summer of 2011. It is from these sessions that I am also drawing shots for our weekly location quiz (which is still open for entry).

Unfortunately, the rain has been following me around yesterday and today with the result being that I am now struggling to get a new location shot for next week. Never mind, I’m sure that I’ll get a chance some time before Friday!

The shot below was taken this morning and shows the kind of weather that has been following me around the north east of Scotland!! Please click on image for full size view.

Just to prove that 3 swallows make a summer here in Scotland, these little guys hatched in one of the buildings at work recently. Hope that you like them! Adore

What’s navy blue, soft and thin, and contains a MacBook Pro along with its transformer and mouse, a Wacom Bamboo, several copies of Linux Format magazine, a few of last year’s Christmas Cards and my sandwiches for Monday morning?

Answer …..My Quadra QS65 Portfolio Briefcase!!

Not the wittiest of punchlines I know, but it is absolutely true (except for the bit about the sandwiches – I’m not that organized).

Quadra QS65This bag, that I’ve been using for 2 or more years now to carry my Monday morning ‘essentials’ is stylish and capacious and absolutely free to the four winners of our current competition, being held in conjunction with our local commercial radio station.

The competition will close at noon on Wednesday, and I am waiting for more entrants with the correct answer, so there is still time to take part. Full details can be found by clicking here. All that you have to do is recognize a location in the north east of Scotland from one of my photographs.

On the subject of competitions, I’ll make a late reminder to everyone that our ‘April lottery‘ closes tomorrow night, so this is your last chance to join in with the draw, where you can win yourself a Craghoppers Kiwi 3-in-1 jacket! All you have to do is subscribe to this blog…how easy is that?
