AM2PM Competition – Number 5

Once again, we at PomPrint Designs extend another big welcome to Waves Radio listeners to our blog, and I hope that you will like our fortnightly Location Puzzler competitions.

All that you have to do to be in with a chance of winning one of our Quadra bags is to identify where in Aberdeen or Aberdeenshire I was when I took the photo shown in this posting and fill in your personal details in the form below, along with the name of the town in which you think it was taken.

The competition will close on Saturday 22nd December and the winner will be announced on the AM2PM show and on here on Monday 24th December.

The winner of the last competition was David Helyer, a Waves Radio listener in the Rattray area, and he has been asked to choose his prize. David, along with 32 others, correctly identified the viaduct in Cullen.

The location shot for puzzler number 5 is seen below. Click on image for a larger view.

Can you identify the name of the town in which this shot was taken? If so, why not enter our prize competition?

I would like to thank my facebook friends who have joined our happy little band tonight and have entered our competition to win £30 worth of goods from our catalogues. I hope that you will all take a look around this site and start to enjoy the benefits of membership.

As a member, you are now able to leave comments on our postings and, if you have an event to advertise (especially those for charitable causes), you will be allowed to make your own postings. If you are of an artistic nature you might take a look at some of our tutorials or event submit a gallery of your own work in the East Wing of our gallery. You are also invited to contribute to our clip art resources to help other members with their own work.

Last night we achieved 10,000 hits on the site (excluding members) since we started up at the end of January, and are currently averaging more than 100 hits per day. This means that your contributions will have a good chance of getting seen!! Happy

Very soon I will be introducing you to another charity that the company is supporting, this time in Cockermouth, Cumbria. I hope that you will give it the same kind of support that you gave to Mandy and her friends in Nottinghamshire earlier in the year. More details to follow in the next week or so.

Lastly, I would like to wish the teams from Fraserburgh and Westhill our best wishes for their performances in the Scottish Rock Challenge finals tomorrow night, especially as this will give me something else of local interest to report to you all. Good luck guys – Break a Leg!!

The March Caption Competition is now closed and I would like to thank each and every one of you who participated. I am delighted to be able to report that we received a total of 35 entries, which is not bad for a blog that is still in its infancy!

The captions have now been sent to the 6 independent judges, and I am hoping to be able to announce the winner and the runners-up by the end of the week. It is going to be a close one, in my opinion, as there were some very clever entries. I think that Paul Merton and Ian Hislop stand-ins are reading this blog!!

If you missed your chance to win a Craghoppers jacket in March, then you will be pleased to know that you have another bite at the cherry during April and, this time, all you need to do is subscribe to the blog. For details on this, click this link.

We don’t appear to have captured many ‘April Fuels’ this morning, I guess that I made it a little too transparent this time around. Never mind, there’s always next year! :-)

Less than 2 days to go!

A final reminder to all followers of this blog that there are less than 2 days to go before we close the March caption competition to win a Craghoppers Kiwi 3-in-1 Jacket (worth £115 RRP).

Remember that you are allowed 3 entries per email address, so if you have only made one suggestion so far, you can still enter again.

Full details of the competition can be found by clicking here.

Details of the prize can be found here.

I will be contacting the judges shortly with a spreadsheet of entries for them to mark. Result will be announced at the end of next week.

Believe it or not, this blog is not a random collection of posts about whatever takes my fancy, interspersed with Billy’s offers and customer feedback, but is actually planned a few weeks in advance. (Hard to believe, I know, but true none the less)!  :-)

By way of proof, if proof were needed, here is a list of what is coming up over the next few weeks:- Continue reading
