Once again, we are pleased to be able to show off the work that we do for the schools that enter the annual Rock Challenge. This time, the images come to you courtesy of Bucksburn Academy. A big ‘Thank You’ to Barbara for supplying these to us.

Our First Rock Challenge Photo
I would like to thank Liz Paterson and the Rock Challenge team from Turriff Academy for supplying us with this year’s first photograph from the Rock Challenge tour. Hopefully, there will be more to follow soon from some of our other schools.
We are particularly pleased with the Turriff T-Shirts because of the last minute panic that we had to get them finished in time for the event. A big “Thank You” goes to Gary and Lorraine for working through their tea breaks to complete the job.
It’s that time of year again!
As the snow starts to fall, once again, on Richard Allen House and its environs, I am reminded that it is the time of year for all things Rock Challenge and Moonlight Prowl.
We have already been beavering away at various Rock Challenge designs, and we have just produced our first sample for this year’s Moonlight Prowl T-Shirts.
Make certain that you keep up to date with these events by registering with this blog. We will be giving you updates on the various school Rock Challenge entries, and details on how you can join in with this year’s moonlight prowl, raising money for breast cancer research. Also, if your school is involved in the Rock Challenge, why not drop me a line on here and let me know about it?
News Update for December 2012
We keep getting asked when our 2013 catalogues will be available, so I thought it would be a good idea to make an announcement by way of a blog posting.
I am reliably informed by our suppliers that our new clothing and business gift catalogues will be out early in January. This means that, at the start of the new year, I will be updating the catalogue area on this blog, and on the company website, as and when they become available. Each time a catalogue is updated, it will be accompanied by a posting similar to this one.
On a different matter, it is good to see plenty of support, once again, for our online competition in association with Waves Radio’s AM2PM show. Interestingly enough, we have had quite a few incorrect answers so far this week, all of them the same. I suggest that, if you have already entered, you might like to take another look and make sure that your answer is amongst those that are correct. You can enter the competition as many times as you like, but only your most recent entry will be counted. This means that you are able to correct your entries of you suddenly have ‘second thoughts’.
The annual Rock Challenge event will be starting again early in the new year, and I hope to be bringing you more news from the schools as the event gets under way. We have already made a start with several schools and hope to bring you news as it happens.

Some of you may have noticed that I had removed my posting featuring the video performances of two of the schools that we support in the Rock Challenge event. This was due to the fact that I was questioned about breach of the owner’s copyright.
Fortunately, I have now been given the green light by the owner to re-embed these videos, so they have been reinstated. I would like to thank all the staff at the Be Your Best Foundation for them supporting me in this matter, and I look forward to be able to continue supporting the event and keeping you all informed when it starts again in January 2013.
When it comes to copyright, it pays to be honest, and I like to think that our company will continue to operate within the complicated copyright laws….until everyone embraces Creative Commons Licensing of course!!

News has just been received that Cockermouth School claimed second place in the National Finals of the UK Rock Challenge in Milton Keynes last night, with Fraserburgh Academy getting the prize for the best soundtrack.

We at PomPrint send our congratulations to both schools on their tremendous record in the competition and look forward to working with you again next year.
Hopefully I will get a full report and photos to follow (after school holidays).
Rock Challenge Videos
Just in case you have been wondering why we have been so keen on supporting our schools in the Rock Challenge competition, I thought that it was about time for members to see what the fuss is all about so, just for fun, here you can see and vote on the performances of the two schools that we have supported that have reached the national final. Please let us know which of these two performance you prefer!!
These videos are shown here by kind permission of Global Rock Challenge TV, to whom I am very grateful.
