The Moonlight Prowl is an annual charity event in Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire, to raise money for breast cancer research. The event is for women only and is a walk around Fraserburgh at night, usually in pink t-shirts.

It’s that time of year again!

As the snow starts to fall, once again, on Richard Allen House and its environs, I am reminded that it is the time of year for all things Rock Challenge and Moonlight Prowl.

T-Shirts and Tiaras – This year’s main event!

This weekend we celebrate what is undoubtedly the most important event of the year. People will be milling about dressed in Red, White and Blue; both tiaras and jewelery will be in abundance, and a party atmosphere will be evident in the streets all around town. I, amongst many, admire these people for doing what they do year in, year out, giving up their time and energy for little or no reward to themselves, but solely for the benefit of others. We, as a company, have made our small contribution to the festivities and hope that you will join us by making your own contributions to this ‘special event’. Continue reading

Being a VALUED customer

One of the policies that we enthusiastically adopt at PomPrint Designs is to offer our customers a chance of bidding for our business wherever possible. This usually means that we try to use electricians, plumbers and joiners, for example, that have come to us to have their vehicles liveried up, or had their work wear embroidered with their company logos. We also like to advertise with media that supports us, such as our friends at Waves Radio in Peterhead, more about that coming soon.

When it comes to large corporations, councils, schools, charities and private individuals, however, it is not necessarily as easy to work a reciprocal arrangement. We don’t have much of a use for ROVs (remotely operated vehicles) here in Mintlaw and, despite what my colleagues tell you, I am not quite a charity case as yet!

On that note, we come to one of the ways in which our company is able to offer its assistance to these customers – ‘Charity’. Continue reading

Full Regalia for 2012 Moonlight Prowl

Full Regalia for 2012 Moonlight Prowl.

Every year, we at PomPrint Designs like to support the Moonlight Prowl walk for Breast Cancer Research by adding a little ‘something’ to their t-shirt order. In previous years we have given them t-shirts for the stewards, high visibility wear and a host of other items. This year we are giving away a pink fold-away shopper bag with every t-shirt that they order. We hope that they get as much re-use as the annual t-shirts, which appear to be becoming collector’s items amongst the Fraserburgh populace.

Just in case you you missed my earlier report on the event, it can be found by clicking here.

If you live in the vicinity of Fraserburgh, are female, and would like to give your support to this charity, please contact them on their website.

This year’s charity walk for ladies, which has now become a well-known event in the Fraserburgh calendar, known as the Moonlight Prowl, has thrown off it’s traditional ‘Pink’ theme for one year only. Continue reading
