Aberdeen Kettlebell Club have launched a new club team Polo Shirt in conjunction with ourselves. Early indications are that members are delighted with their new design, which was a collaboration between blog member Ray Wilson @ray-wilson and myself over the last week or so.
Take a look at the images below, kindly supplied by Ray, and let us know what you think. (Click on any thumbnail to open carousel).
The new version of the AKC Logo produced in Inkscape.
The new Rack and Reload Logo designed as a collaboration.
The new Rack and Reload design was based on Ray’s idea of using a line drawing of a person lifting 2 kettlebells and was brought into life by myself using the FOSS program Inkscape. The new AKC logo was vectorised by myself under Ray’s expert and extended guidance!
Please note that you can download Inkscape for yourselves by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page.
It is always nice to get feedback from the various charities that we support throughout the year, and particularly good when we get something in writing. This is a sign that we made recently for our advertisement at the Inverurie Loco Works’ football ground. The idea came from the Tag cloud on this blog.
A bit of Mr Greig’s handiwork. Our new advertising board at the Inverurie Loco’s ground.
This year we appear to be sponsoring a lot of Cancer Charities (Moonlight Prowl, Cockermouth Race for Life and Jog On for Clic Sargeant for example), and July was no exception, where we supplied T-Shirts to the Mintlaw Mo’s for their 100 mile charity hike from Milngavie to Fort William from July 28 to today.
We have acquired a good set of photographs, via Mo-Sista Jemma, of the team on their walk and are proud to present their gallery here.
Please note that there is still time to donate to the Prostate Cancer Charity by visiting the Mintlaw Mo’s donation page (click here). Please be as generous as you like – every little helps!
