This Year’s Calendar Contenders

I have made up a gallery of photographs that we are thinking of using for this year’s calendar for our customers, and thought that it would be a good idea to get feedback from the members of this blog. Remember that I need to pick 12 from this gallery, so please let me know which you think that I should include and those which you think I should not include. All constructive comments would be welcome. It would also be useful to know your thoughts as which photos should go with which month.

All these photos are quite good Steve. However that said i am an old fashioned kind of guy and like to see a Calendar which is seasonal and all of the above pics are summer.

I would have been nice to show some winter and autum colours too just a thought.

I agree with you Darran, and @Nigalius also made this point. I am finding it very difficult to get Winter scenes as the snow in Scotland is usually accompanied by dark clouds, which makes bad photographs. I will be looking out for some bright days when there is snow on the ground, and get out with the camera then – if this ever happens up here! :-)

Here are the photo’s that I suggest for the calender.

    Bervie Bridges
    Pitmeddon House
    New Aberdour Beach
    Mount Hooly, Doocot and Rosehearty
    Maud Railway Station
    Lobster Pots in Portsoy Harbour
    Boats at Cove Bay
    Sandhaven Harbour
    Haddo House Gardens (June)
    Rosehearty Harbour (July)
    Poppies at Sandhaven (August)
North coast from Doocot at Rosehearty (Sept)

As I mentioned on the phone, some of the others I like a lot including the Peterhead Beach, just dont think it is suitable for a calender.

Thanks for your thoughts Nigel. This is the third reply that I have had so far. One from Facebook, a second from deviantArt, and now yours. I was hoping for a few more. :-(

It would be good to get a few more. So… If anyone is reading this, my entry took all of 5 minutes to type and a few more minutes to look through the photos to see what I thought. So hows about a few more suggestions?
