Unfortunately, it took me longer than expected to find out the result of last night’s Scottish Rock Challenge final at the Caird Hall in Dundee, and I still don’t know who came third!
I am, however, pleased to be able to report that Westhill Academy were placed 4th for their dance “The Discovery of Elemora”, and that Fraserburgh Academy were placed 2nd with “Dorothy Decides”. My report on these pieces from my viewing at the Aberdeen heats can be found elsewhere in this blog.
Although unofficial, I believe that Arbroath High School won the final, with Fraserburgh 2nd, Westhill 4th and Mackie Academy (Stonehaven) in 5th place. If anyone knows who was 3rd, please let me know!!
We at PomPrint would like to extend our congratulations to both the Fraserburgh and Westhill teams and hope to be working with you again next year. If anyone has any photos of last night’s event that I can post on this blog, please send them to me as soon as possible, so that I can get a gallery together.
PS Katrina Clark from Fraserburgh has just informed me that 3rd place went to Arbroath Academy. Thanks for the feedback Katrina!
3rd were Arbroath academy. Peterhead compete in the premier northern final in Grimsby next weekend and also showcased their piece at the Scottish Final.
Thanks for the info. I guess that they are up against the guys from Cockermouth at Grimsby?
