The Bramcote 5K Fun Run report.

Doing the 5K run was the idea of one of our bosses, Philip Sudlow, he wanted to encourage staff to try and ‘get fitter’. It’s been fun training altogether and team spirit has been high. There were a lot of idea’s being thrown around as to what charity we should run for and our office decided to do it as a group and run for CLIC sargent as Karen has had personal dealings with the charity. Everyone has done so well and for Ingrid and myself it was a first time run, the course was quite difficult as it is very hilly ( some of the first runners over the finish line were over heard saying it was the hardest 5k they’d ever done………now you tell me?)

We came in with the following times :

Karen 28 mins 52 sec,

Paul 28 mins 42 sec,

Ingrid 39 mins 02 sec

Mandy 45 mins 58 sec.

Having had a little chat with my friends this morning it seems we’ve all survived. Doing the event has really shown the best in people, it’s really been fantastic, the generosity and support of Pomprint Design, friends and family has been overwhelming. Our Boss Philip Sudlow has also been a rock to us all, his dedication is an inspiration, he’s off doing an Ironman challenge in July…….maybe one to keep an eye on :-)

So from Paul, Mandy, Ingrid and Karen THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH :-) and a special thanks to my sister ‘Amy’ don’t think I could have done so well without her :-)

  1. Nice first posting Mandy, and thanks for taking the time to write it too. I think that I have given you sufficient permissions to edit your postings and photos but, if not, let me know and I’ll try to fix. (I’m new at this too, I’m afraid)!
