What’s navy blue, soft and thin, and contains a MacBook Pro along with its transformer and mouse, a Wacom Bamboo, several copies of Linux Format magazine, a few of last year’s Christmas Cards and my sandwiches for Monday morning?

Answer …..My Quadra QS65 Portfolio Briefcase!!

Not the wittiest of punchlines I know, but it is absolutely true (except for the bit about the sandwiches – I’m not that organized).

Quadra QS65This bag, that I’ve been using for 2 or more years now to carry my Monday morning ‘essentials’ is stylish and capacious and absolutely free to the four winners of our current competition, being held in conjunction with our local commercial radio station.

The competition will close at noon on Wednesday, and I am waiting for more entrants with the correct answer, so there is still time to take part. Full details can be found by clicking here. All that you have to do is recognize a location in the north east of Scotland from one of my photographs.

On the subject of competitions, I’ll make a late reminder to everyone that our ‘April lottery‘ closes tomorrow night, so this is your last chance to join in with the draw, where you can win yourself a Craghoppers Kiwi 3-in-1 jacket! All you have to do is subscribe to this blog…how easy is that?

Jap D Motorsport 3

Our Man on the Crimond Racetrack

Ever since the early days of PomPrint Designs, we seem to have had some kind of interest in motor sport from a sponsorship point of view. This year is no exception, as we now find ourselves following the race day activities of one of our loyal customers on the Crimond racing circuit.

The Jap D motorsport team, who compete in the Hot Saloon Stock Car Racing class, consists of John Cleary and 3 members of his family, Andrew, Phil and Dave.

Son Andrew tasked himself with putting on the car’s decals which were supplied by ourselves and, as can be seen from this photo gallery, has made a pretty neat job of the project.

We will be reporting on the Jap D team more as the season progresses, but at this early stage, we would like to wish them all the best of speed in their racing endeavours for the season.

Starting this week we will be running a competition in conjunction with our “Into the Weekend” show on Waves 101.2 FM. Each week a posting like this will appear on this blog at 6:30 on a Friday evening with a photograph taken somewhere in the North East of Scotland. All that you need to do to be in with a chance of winning one of the prizes, this week Quadra QS65 Portfolio Briefcases (pictured right), is to be one of a randomly chosen selection of four visitors to correctly identify the name of the town in which the photo shown here was taken. Membership of this blog – what it means.

After speaking to one of our members by email today, it was brought to my attention that I had made a very false assumption. This was to believe that everyone knew how the interactive nature of this blog has supposed to work. Well, it is true what they say about people who assume things, and I am very much the Ass in this assumption!! There is no reason at all why anyone reading this blog should have any idea at all how I have set it up, or why it has been set up in the way that it is. This posting is my attempt to clarify these matters, so please read on…this will greatly enhance your enjoyment of this site! Continue reading

I thought that I should quickly make regular customers of PomPrint, who have received goods manufactured by Uneek Clothing in the past, aware of the fact that the said clothing supplier has just issued a new catalogue for 2012 and is available for download, in pdf format, by visiting this page, or by clicking the image below.

As a consequence of the ongoing leveson inquiry I figured that, before posting anything about my, somewhat fraternal relationship with ‘media mogul’ Kenny King at Waves Radio in Peterhead, it would be astute of me to get my team of crack lawyers to vet my latest posting, about our sponsorship of one of their programs, for anything incriminating prior to release. For this reason, my earlier contribution to this blog, currently under the code name Coming on Friday – the “Where’s Waves?” Competition, has been put under lock and password until 6:30 on Friday by which time, the legal team will have reported back to me that there is nothing in there that can be construed as indicating a hidden agenda of world domination of the embroidery, printing and livery market!
